First fully standardized clinic in Leipzig

The ACQUA Klinik Leipzig has been working together with the international reference and development center (IRDC) on the subject of standardization in the operation theatre scientifically and practically for many years.
In 2012, a pilot project was launched together with the Surgical Process Institute. In the meantime, each year more than 3,000 patients are operated by the Surgical Process Manager (SPM). Each type of operation is divided into 60 or more individual steps. During the operation, the system provides individual operations steps according to the detailed checklist. Every single finished step will be confirmed via a foot pedal/ a touch screen or with voice control during the surgery. The surgery report is prepared within a few minutes including all datas and photos of the surgery. The SPM can also be used for training courses with young doctors.
